1st day... Supposed to be 90 min fix on recall issue. Scheduled weeks out for me to drop truck off in morning and get back that afternoon. Didn't happen. Not even a call or call back after calling several times that day to check on truck. Find out never touched the truck that day, very unhappy. Got it back 2nd day. Issue was fixed. Service member apologized and offered free oil change service for mishap. So overall happy truck is fixed and Howard was very nice, but not happy at all about how 1st day was handled

The service person that I was dealing with talked down to me as if I didn’t know anything. I don’t know if he does that to all women or not, but that really rubbed me the wrong way. If I ever go back there I will not be working with him again.

Some things are different from Bradshaw, like the snacks that would, but the service is the same as well as the wait time, I drive from Anderson, SC for both my truck, and my wife's car for the service.

I was lied to and stolen from. My service person Tyler was also so dishonest, disrespectful and raised his voice at me in front of my husband. It took my husband a lot of control not to say anything and walk away. I was charged for an item that my warranty already paid for so you made twice the money. It’s fraudulent and I took it to my credit card to dispute since the service manager won’t return my call. Absolutely the worse dealership I’ve dealt with. Tyler is giving you, the dealership, a bad name. I will tell everyone to be on the lookout for scams and lies. I need my money refunded asap. My car is almost paid for and getting ready to trade it in but I will not be buying from you.

Made an appt. Took the dealership days to even look at it. Didn’t keep me updated at all. I had to call multiple times and never even received a call back. I talked to my advisor twice. Once to tell me who he was and the second time to see if the car was done. When I went to pick up my car no one went over anything with me just had me sign and my advisor was nowhere to be found. I have had GMC and Chevy vehicles for over 20 years and this dealership had to have been the worse experience out of multiple across the count

I made an appointment for repairs on vehicle, and it set for 24 hours before anyone looked at it. Once someone did look at it, it was repaired the same day. Scheduler should coordinate better with service department to avoid delays. Some customers have to get rentals for means of transportation and don't want additional fees because their vehicle wasn't addressed the day of appointment.

Brought my 2011 Tahoe in with electrical problems . Service department was more interested in finding problems with shocks and other money making issues than what I brought it in for . After directing my questions to the service person specifically for the electrical issues - his response was that it could take thousands of dollars to figure out where the problem was . I just paid the $175 for NOTHING , and took my car to another shop and will never go back to Fred Anderson of Greer for service.

I don't like leaving negative reviews but at this point I feel as though I have no choice the representative named John in your service department is one of the worst individuals I think you have representing your facility. My truck ended up staying at your facility for roughly 36 hours because of the lack of care and response that I receive John and no point in time did John provide any kind of good service to me at all. I called at least four times each time I call John was on the phone call when I called at 5:45 John was in a meeting so out of the three phone calls made to John he ignored each one because I never received a phone call on the last attempt he was at a meeting I did reach an individual by the last name of bush and he was very helpful I am appreciative of that but I explained my displeased with John and he said that things would be looked into but no matter what he would give me a call the following day and the best part about the service I received at Fred Anderson is that man kept his word and that was appreciated everything else I don't think I will be bringing my truck back

I brought my new 2025 Equinox in for the first complimentary oil change. Mitchel Summers greeted me and he actually remembered that I previously owned a 2022 Trailblazer that I traded into Fred Anderson. Mitchell was very personable and very easy to deal with. The experience went very well and I was even texted a video that the technician took, showing me the evaluation of my Equinox. I moved from New York in May 2024 and this dealership is by far much superior. The people who handle receiving the vehicle are pleasant. The waiting area is nice ( coffee is always available) and Mitchell has always given me very excellent service. I have had very good interactions with both Sales and Service with Fred Anderson Chevrolet. Good Job.

It was ok. The last time was a little more friendly. This time the person who took care of me wasn’t as friendly or talkative. I did not buy my equinox at Fred Anderson but at Parks. When I went to Fred Anderson originally the salesman didn’t seem interested in what we wanted (a lease ant the time) and was engaged with another customer at the same time. I don’t go to Parks Chevrolet because it’s 35 minute ride compared to 8 to Fred Anderson. The rep when I was at the Greer location did let me know the maintenance package I purchased when I bought the car was a lot less than than what his dealer charges and they have to honor it. I thought that wasn’t necessary. Chevy is Chevy.

Maintenance work was projected to take 3 hours in labor and was completed in less than 4 hours at the original costs—great job! A personal pet peeve is the driver's seat being moved from its original position without any attempt to return it to its original position after completion of service. Insufficient room for my 6'2" frame to get in without adjustment was annoying. Understand that the height difference between different drivers may require adjustment of the driver's seat to be safe for another driver, but to not even attempt to restore to put back in close to the same position is unacceptable in my opinion for a dealership striving to provide the best customer service possible. Also, there was no oil change reminder sticker on the front windshield, which had been there previously after an oil change. Mitchel Summers did a superb job as my service manager, explaining everything being done, projecting the time involved for services, and showing detailed costs before starting work as well as answering my questions.

I broke down in s Carolina and had to have 2500 gmc Sierra diesel towed to closest gmc/Chevy Dealer for repair. Tow truck left truck there, I notified them it was mine and how it ended up there. Service advisor was unable to do anything. It took 40 mins to complete pick up process with the SVC Mangers help. I had a problem with the Tire pressure monitoring system and he was unable to give me any kind of estimate other than verbal nothing written couldn't tell me what was wrong just a number how much cost to fix it.

My Cadillac CTS would not start and after checking out the battery and a few other things, I determined that the problem was something that I probably could not fix myself. Since I have taken the car to this dealership since I purchased it, I called to see when I could get in. They told me to bring it in that day and they would set up the appointment. I called a tow truck and had it taken to Fred Anderson. I went to the dealership as well and talked to Howard, the advisor that I always use and went over a few other things to have done while it was in the shop. He took care of everything, and I was on my way. As I stated, I have been getting service there for years for both my cars and have always trusted them to take care of me.

My 2021 Yukon SLT is currently at the dealership with steering issues which I have encountered since day 1 the vehicle was purchased. I had to return the vehicle 2xs after purchase for same reason. Now the dealership is telling me that I may be responsible to replace the rack and pinion which comes to about 3500.00. I have only had the vehicle a year and some months. I also read there was a recall on the steering. I am currently waiting for the representative to reach out to me concerning the repairs that I do not think I’m entitled to pay. I have a warrant on the vehicle but unfortunate for me, the warranty does not cover. I have spoke to the used car manager and he is currently addressing the issue as he stated I should not be having steering issues with such late modeled vehicle. So to ask my opinion on the matter at hand, I do not have words right now. The representative was nice.

I worked with Carter who did a great job I was serviced and out in about an hour. Until I drove 2 miles down the road and a low oil light came on. So I drove back to the dealership, we checked the oil in the lane and there was not any on the dipstick. We took the truck back into the service bay, where a technician checked the oil again, none registered in the dipstick. So we were atleast 2 quarts low I made the team drain the oil, and refill it completely as there’s no way to verify they changed the oil or even added any Chris G worked with me to make it right covering my next oil change. But in all honesty I think that wasn’t enough as I had already paid for this oil change and services were not rendered. Nor did your techs service the truck fully.

My understanding was the whole driver side mirror was supposed to be replaced and although the main issue was fixed, the chrome part of the mirror was not replaced and the old one was just put back on with all the tape marks and scratches it had. The tech tried to clean it up a little bit but still it just seems like the bare minimum approach to save a couple dollars instead of just doing what makes sense and replacing the whole unit. Even the Assistant Service Manager made the comment that he thought the whole thing would have been replaced. Secondly, we noticed that the driver side door had new scratches on it when we were picking up the vehicle. We pointed it out to the assistant service manager and even showed him video evidence of the door not having scratches before we brought it in (40 minutes prior to arrival - we live 35 minutes away). The Service Manager was preoccupied and couldn't come to address the claim but said he would call us later that day or in the morning. We came in on Wednesday and did not hear from him that afternoon or Thursday morning. I called and left him a voicemail just letting him know that we were still waiting on a call. No response. My wife messaged the assistant service manager first thing Friday morning but got no response from him and the we still didn't hear from the service manager. So basically we have gone 3 days with no response. These are the last two incidents but there were earlier issues with miscommunications between the sales team and the service center and so coupled with all of that, our experience has just been one of frustration and we have only had the vehicle 2 weeks. We really just need to get the scratches on the door issue resolved ...and resolved correctly. Thanks

My appointment was for 11am I got there about 10:30 for oil, filter and tire rotation and was informed that they were running behind. Around 12:15 pm there was no one in the service area, I did locate a service member (who was excellent, not the one I checked in with) I asked him on the status of my car, He checked online, then went to the service area, came back and found my paperwork on the desk of the person who checked me in, how long it was sitting there I have no idea, he was out to lunch. You need a better way of communication with your service area to avoid unnecessary delays

I had an appointment to have 4 new tires put on my Yukon with a 4wheel alignment done at the same time. Once the new tires were put on, I was notified that no one was there to perform the alignment. I would think whenever you schedule folks to install new tires, you would insure that someone would always be there to perform the alignment. My service rep (Mitchel Summers) was very apologetic that I had to come back the next day for the alignment. Mitchel has always been very helpful whenever I bring my Yukon in for service. Disappointing Service Experience at Fred Anderson GMC When we dropped off our vehicle at Fred Anderson GMC, we were not given clear instructions on where to leave it. We assumed the back of the dealership would be an appropriate location for overnight drop-off. However, we were quickly approached by a young employee who was surprisingly rude. Instead of offering helpful guidance, he bluntly told us we were in the wrong spot and needed to move the vehicle to the front. His tone was unfriendly and dismissive, which left a poor first impression. Once we successfully dropped off the vehicle, we made it explicitly clear that we did not want any work done without first being informed of the issue and any associated costs. We were relying on our Route 66 warranty to cover necessary repairs and did not want any surprises. Unfortunately, we were soon contacted by the service advisor who informed us that the only issue they could find was that the truck was “four quarts low on oil.” We found this diagnosis highly questionable, as we had just checked the oil ourselves and the level was full. When we challenged this, the advisor insisted there was no leak and no other explanation, simply stating, “That’s what it is,” and that our warranty wouldn’t cover the so-called repair. Despite the questionable diagnosis and lack of evidence of an oil leak, we were charged over $200—apparently for adding four quarts of oil. According to the paperwork, that’s all that was done. No explanation. No actual repair. Just oil—and a steep bill for it. This experience felt like a ripoff. Between the poor communication, unprofessional attitude from staff, and questionable service practices, I cannot recommend this location and will not be returning.

Good morning I am so sorry to hear you were not greeted with a 5 star level of service. We strive for this with every customer and clearly let you down. I would like to speak with you more about that as well as the concern you came in for. It appears when I look at the ticket we did more than just say you needed oil. Below I will list what I see and my direct number to call when you have a moment. CUSTOMER STATES CEL IS ON, TRACTION CONTROL AND STABILITRACK LIGHT DISPLAY ON IPC. STATES HE THINKS HE HEARS A LIFTER TICK. CHECK AND ADVISE Correction: 162841 CODES C0040 FOR RIGHT FRONT WHEEL SPEED SENSOR. FOUND THE HARNESS UNPLUGGED & WIRE RUBBED INT HE COPPER WIRE. ALSO CODE P0523 OIL PRESSURE SENSOR HIGH VOLTAGE, THE INTAKE NEEDS TO BE REMOVED FOR FURTHER TESTING OF WIRING & CONNECTOR TO DETERMINE CAUSE OF FAILURE. AND FOR THE ENGINE TICK FOUND THAT THE ENGINE WAS 4 QT LOW ON OIL. TOPPED OIL LEVEL OFF Zack Moran 864-404-9809

The BIGGEST COMPLAINT I have, is CUSTOMER SERVICE. When I tried to reach someone to find out about the status of my car, I was sent to a voice mail, where I left a message but, then did not hear back for several hours. I then called again and was told that my car had not been addressed as of yet. This was about 2 days after I dropped my car off for emergency service, concerning the MASTER CYLINDER, on a BRAND NEW car!! Thank goodness for your NEW employee, Corey. He was very diligent about my concerns and kept me informed. He is definitely a keeper!

Took way too long to repair. 10 days was unacceptable for warranty work and an out of town vehicle. I ran out of medication and had to have my son drive to South Carolina pick me up and take me home (WV) then had to get my uncle to drive me back to South Carolina to pick up my car. I explained to the service department that I was from WV and would need medication and had a doctors appointment. I would have thought they could have understood my situation. Not pleased with the amount of time and inconvenience but it was fixed and I made it home. Will have to decide if I will choose Chevrolet again.

I had a great experience with Fred Anderson Chevrolet!! I worked with Howard Bush and he was fantastic. I needed two modules replaced for my 2024 Chevrolet that were faulty. There was a little wait for the parts to come in, which is understandable, but once they were in, it was quick turnaround and I was on my way. Everybody at Fred Anderson was so friendly. I’m going to use Fred Anderson Chevrolet for all of my oil changes, tire rotations, and service from now on and when it comes to my NEXT Silverado, I’ll be headed to Fred Anderson Chevrolet to buy it down the road!!

I seldom give five stars because in today's environment with too much work and less help, I don't expect a smooth and easy process on many things, but I will say that my recent visit was within my expectations. I had another vehicle to use so it wasn't an emergency, and I was not demanding an immediate repair. Never received a text concerning the cost for the work requested so I just texted him to let me know when my truck was ready to be picked up. I will continue to use the dealership to service my truck.

Purchased a new Silverado 1500 in July. Vehicle has a transmission noise. I alerted sales team members who requested service to contact me. I never heard from them. I took vehicle in for routine service and service advisor saw a fault code - U0101which indicates electrical issue or transmission control module fault. I asked service advisor if we could get it serviced and he informed me of no loaner cars and short staff of transmission techs. I contacted Kevin Whitaker and got scheduled within 2 days with a loaner. Haven’t heard back from Fred Anderson team.

I had to have my car jump-started after it sat for a week, and have had trouble intermittently with starting. I went in to the dealership Tuesday and asked if I could have a diagnostic test run and what the cost would be. I was given a price of $175, and we discussed that I was not under obligation to get the repair done there even if they did the diagnostic run. When the serviceman attempted to crank my car, while I was standing there, it did the same thing. I left my car there to have the test run. The next evening, I called to asked if it was complete, and I was told I needed a starter and the price would be $1064. I declined and said I would pay for the diagnostic test and take my car. We picked my car up Wednesday evening. At the time I was very sick (I admitted to the hospital the next day). I mention this because I didn’t look at the paperwork they gave me when we picked up my car. After leaving the hospital, I looked at the paperwork that states: Car started ok. Started car 10 times, after 3rd time it begins to lag. Needs starter assembly. Total cost, Labor $175. I am very upset! No diagnostic test was run on my car. I paid a guy to crank my car 10 times and say it needs a starter. Also, if the starter is bad, would we have been able to jump start the car? I specifically went there and asked for the diagnostic test and that is not what they did. I am not happy.

Easy scheduling, got me in and out in a timely manner. I did mention to Zach that the brakes were squeezing again at very low speeds (an issue we have had FA fix before due to bad break pads from GM) he said they would check them. At the end he said brakes checked good, as soon as I rolled out of the bay they were still squealing. I understand they couldn’t do a sale day repair if needed, but it would have been nice not to have to make another appointment to have them checked and then back again for the repairs if needed .

You have incompetent service technicians while fixing a problem. They broke something and for some reason I ended up paying for the broken part they broke. And for buying a new car from Fred Anderson the customer skills are very poor. All they care about is selling you the car and get the rest. Do you not want to honor contracts or warranties that were sold aftermarket they want you to pay out of your pocket for.

Once I pulled into the service bay I was assisted by a nice lady who asked me to stand by my truck. I did, for 10 minutes waiting for an associate. There was a gentleman, working busily at his computer, 20 ft from me who didn’t even look away to at a minimum offer some assistance, as all they had to do was check me in since I had an appointment. I guess my expectations were a bit high since the Honda dealership next door as always has an associate ready to help as soon as you step out of your vehicle and gets you out of the service bay quickly since it’s potentially hazardous with vehicles being driven in and out. Looks like I’ll just start making the drive to Woodruff Chevrolet again.

I had received a notice from On-Star on Wednesday that my Equinox had an issue with either the battery, the starter, or a connection. I immediately contacted Fred Anderson & made an appointment for Friday at 8:45AM for that to be checked and also scheduled an oil change. On Thursday, I attempted to start my vehicle, but it wouldn't crank over so I had it towed to Fred Anderson with its arrival there late Thursday morning. I had also called Fred Anderson to let them know the vehicle was on the way and they moved my service appointment to 1PM on Thursday. My neighbors brought me to Fred Anderson shortly after the Equinox arrived and I was able to confirm it was there and was being looked at. I was told I would be informed of its progress by 11 the next day (11/14). When I didn't hear back, I called at 11:15 and spoke with Mylisa (sp?) who said she'd message Carter, my service writer. Carter called me back at 11:20 and said the vehicle was now in eval. Not sure why, since the vehicle had been there since late Thursday morning it was just getting looked at late Friday morning. I called the Anderson service dept. number (864 743 0911) at 3:15PM on Friday and spoke with Eric. He called the service area, was unable to get an answer, so told me he'd message the service department requesting someone get back to me. When I didn't hear anything, I called back at 4:05 on Friday and spoke with Joshua. He said something about lines being tied up but another woman came on the line (didn't get her name..sorry) who transferred me to the service department. All the phone did was ring, but I was finally able to leave a voice mail. I called Anderson's service department, again, at 4:20 and spoke with Moon. I asked her if she could see anyone in the service department since I was assuming I was actually calling the physical dealership. She said she's in a call center and is not able to see the service area. So...I finally called the dealer's phone number (864 743 0914) at 4:37 and spoke with Ashley. I did confirm that she was physically at the dealership. I explained to her that I've been using Anderson and, formerly, Bradshaw, since my arrival in South Carolina (2019) and have been a faithful customer with no previous problems. She tried to call over to the service department but received no answers on any lines. She said she'd call me back in 15 minutes herself with an update. At 5:17 I got a call back from Tyler, the asst. service mgr. informing me that they still weren't sure what was wrong with the Equinox, and it would be into next week before they'd know. I asked about a loaner, but I would not be eligible for one since it wasn't warranty work. He did tell me the battery was draining but they weren't sure why. He told me they would be doing a parasitic draw test and would get back to me between 10AM & 11AM on Monday. Hearing nothing by 11AM on Monday, I called direct to the dealer at 11:05 and asked to speak with Tyler. His voice mail was full & no more messages could be left. I tried calling Zack Moran at 864 404 9809 and left a voice mail. I called the dealer's number again, got transferred to service & I left another message. A few minutes later, I called the dealer's number again and spoke with Lani. I asked to be transferred to Tyler, and I left another message for him. I finally got a call back, around noon, from my original service writer, Carter Whitlow, who let me know the Equinox was going to be ready for pick up later on Monday. I finally picked it up late Monday afternoon. The things that disturbed me the most on this 'adventure' were the lack of communication, the length of time it took to get these things fixed (turns out it WAS the battery which is probably a 1-hour changeout), and the fact that the service department's number is actually a call center. Thankfully, Carter was very helpful when I arrived on Monday to pick up my vehicle. As I've already stated, I've been using Anderson and, its previous incarnation of Bradshaw, since I've arrived in South Carolina. I prefer to use a dealer to work on my vehicle despite the fact that I know I will be paying more. I didn't like being without a vehicle for almost 5 days when it seems the fix was simple. I also don't like that the service department phone number goes to a call center. I've worked in a call center and, generally, the employees there are not top-notch and with them not being physically at the dealership, they are at a disadvantage trying to keep customers informed. If it wasn't for Carter's great attitude when I arrived to pick up my Equinox I'd have to say, sadly, I'd never come back to Anderson again for any reason.

Much better experience than last time. The last oil change a tech left nearly 2 qts of oil out of my truck. Without checking, I left and drove down the road only to get a low engine oil warning. It was totally repaired and I got my Equinox back in perfect running order. Mitchell Sommer is such an awesome advisor deal with. He was extremely knowledgeable, court and professional in dealing with me ( at times I got frustrated with the time it took to repair my SUV), BUT Mitchell was very patient and polite through it all. This past week, my Equinox was due for the 5000 mile oil change. Again Mitchell took exceptional care of me and my wait time was very limited. Fred Anderson has always done a very nice professional job with my Chevy. Mitchell is the very best and a pleasure to have taking care of my Equinox.

Had some strange things going on with my GMC Sierra. Several warning lights. Truck started fine. They found my battery had a low charge. I bought a battery where I usually buy batteries and Fred Anderson installed it. Fixed the problem. Also had a bad tire pressure unit. I told them there were four in the glove box when I bought the truck but did not know if they were good. They checked them and they were good so they used one of them. Howard Bush was my service person and would highly recommend him. Fred Anderson did a great job. I always use them even-tho they are not the closest dealer.

Needed my windshield replaced. I tried to go through Safelite auto glass, but they kept saying they couldn’t do it because my vehicle had error codes. Spoke with Service Manager and he got the truck back and was completed in 15 minutes. They had to deliver the truck to my house. This was unexceptionable since I had an appointment.

Sales people were great. But I was delivered a dirty vehicle, covered in persistent hard water spots. You would think that a dealership could afford a few hundred bucks for a water softener. A crapload of money spent on cleaning products just so I could see out of the windshield of a newly purchased $84,000.00 vehicle. I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be very difficult to do better. They are supposed to install a gooseneck hitch but I am a bit worried how that is going to turn out, if they can’t even wash a truck correctly.

The sales department was great. You need a little work on the detail side of the house. Had to come back the next day to get the truck detailed and it took 2.5 hours for a delivery wash. The new GMC truck is everything I hoped for. What an awesome vehicle.

The service advisor did a great job getting me in and out. I also told him my oil light had came on earlier in the week. He said it was no big deal all Chevrolets usually burned between one to two quarts between the 6000 mile oil changes!! I find this hard to believe with a 2022 1500 limited with less than 50,000 miles on , that is ridiculous! Maybe I should have bought another Ford instead!! I’ve had about 10 oil changes since I bought the truck every 6,000 miles this is the first time it was low between oil changes!!!
